Octa Review: Does the $25 Swap-Free Offer Hold Up Once You Check the Entity?
Octa advertises a $25 minimum deposit and swap-free accounts by default. We opened one, held a EUR/USD position overnight to test the swap-free claim, and traced which entity actually signs up most international clients.
Best for: Small-balance traders who value a low deposit and default swap-free accounts over top-tier regulatory protection
The $25 deposit and default swap-free accounts are both real: we held a EUR/USD position overnight and no swap charge appeared, matching Octa's claim that every account skips the manual swap-free toggle other brokers require. Where the pitch thins out is regulation. Only Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd carries a licence with meaningful oversight, CySEC 372/18, serving EU clients specifically. Most international sign-ups land instead under entities in Mauritius, Comoros or Saint Lucia, jurisdictions with lighter licensing regimes. The low deposit and swap-free structure are genuine wins for a small account; the regulatory footprint behind most sign-ups needs reading closely first.

A $25 minimum deposit and swap-free accounts with no application form are an easy pitch, and Octa leads with both. We opened an account at the minimum, held a EUR/USD position over two separate weekends to test the swap-free claim directly, and then spent longer than expected working out which of Octa's several legal entities a typical sign-up actually lands under.
The swap-free claim, checked overnight
Some brokers offer swap-free trading only after a manual request or an application proving religious grounds, and even then often revert to a fixed administrative fee after a grace period of a week or so. Octa's own documentation states plainly that every account is swap-free by default, with no toggle to find and no compliance form to submit. We held EUR/USD open across two weekends specifically to check this, and no swap charge appeared on either occasion, matching the claim rather than a softened version of it.

That said, the pricing underneath is ordinary rather than sharp. EUR/USD spreads start from 0.6 pips, a figure that competes fine against other low-deposit brokers but does not come close to the raw-spread accounts we have tested elsewhere that float from 0.0. The $25 deposit and swap-free default are the draw here, not the spread.
Three tiers, one low floor
Octa's account comparison page lists three tiers priced at $0, $25 and $100 to open, spanning OctaTrader, MT4 and MT5, all giving access to 35 currency pairs plus gold, silver, three energy instruments, ten indices and 31 cryptocurrencies. No deposit or withdrawal fee applied on the transactions we tested, which is a genuine convenience for a trader funding a small account who does not want a flat fee eating a noticeable share of a $25 deposit.
